How to get red wine off your
clothes!
I was helping some friends bottle red wine and would you know, I wore my
khaki pants thinking “well….. I’ll be EXTRA careful” not to spill any on
me!
Of course, the inevitable happens, and I had dozens of little spots and
spalts all over my relatively new khaki pants – major bummer, considering it
would be another 4 hours before I left for home.
I stopped by the local Longs Drugs and bought some generic “Oxy Wash”, drove
home, soaked my khakis in lukewarm water, sprayed directly on the red wine
stains, took an old toothbrush, gave the “Oxy Wash” soaked spots a good
scrub, then left my khakis alone for about an hour or so.
I proceeded to throw my khakis into the wash on regular setting, cold water
and what do you know?
NO MORE STAINS!!!
